Time To Stand And Intercede

After communing with Jesus for 40 days and hearing, believing, and receiving what he spoke pertaining to the kingdom, Apostle Peter and the early church fathers finally understood the power of prayer, intercession, and standing in faith. This modern-day world needs to realize, as Nebuchadnezzar of Babylon did centuries ago, that nobody is greater than our God, the one who reveals secrets and answers prayers that are prayed according to his will. (Daniel 2:28; I John 5:14–15)

Regardless of being the king of a global empire, Nebuchadnezzar had to concede this point to Daniel: “Of a truth it is, that your God is the God of gods, and the Lord of kings, and a revealer of secrets.” (Daniel 2:47). If we truly believe that the Lord is the same yesterday, today, and forever, then we can also believe that just as God revealed the Syrian enemy’s plots against Israel to the prophet Elisha, God can and will expose the covert operations of our enemies today when they seek to disrupt the righteous works of God (II Kings 6:12).

|As we commit to praying and interceding as the Holy Ghost directs, an inner witness will stir in us, and we will know that the Spirit of God is hovering to do spiritual works, and we will witness the activation of our spiritual eyes being opened to see what we couldn’t see before (Psalms 119:18). Our spiritual ears will be awakened to hear and to receive the words and insights that are given to help those who are weary, wounded, and ready to give up and quit (Isaiah 50:4). We will know what and how God wants us to pray for others (James 5:16; I Timothy 2:1–3). The spirit of witness is stirring right now… It’s time to intercede in faith!
